Save the Clocktower
Save The Clocktower are a passionate, aggressive and meaningful post-hardcore band from Launceston, TAS. Forming out of the ashes of local bands This Future... Chaos and Hitman only two years ago, the band have supported some amazing interstate bands such as House Vs Hurricane, Mindset, The Abandonment, The Omen, Senses Fail (USA), Parkway Drive & Confession to name but a few. In this short time, they have built their fanbase in Tasmania rapidly, while also reaching over the Bass Strait to a whole new eager music scene. With the release of their self-recorded & self-funded EP, ‘Letters’ at the beginning of 2011, the band have gained attention Australia-wide and also from America, Canada and Europe, completely selling out of stock. The boys have had numerous requests from bands from all major cities in Australia asking to come over and play shows. Travelling to the mainland has been a pretty clear objective of the band, and now is the opportune time as they have recently finished recording their 2nd completely self-funded EP ‘The Human Condition’. The EP has just been sent off the North Carolina, USA to be mixed and mastered by Drew Fulk of Think Sound Studios who has worked with bands from Rise Records, Roadrunner Records, Tragic Hero Records, Eulogy Records, all big names in the rock/hardcore/metal scene around the world. The first three months of 2012 is looking to be busy with all three months totally booked up with interstate shows in support of the release of the new EP, ‘The Human Condition’, with a few Tasmanian shows thrown in for good measure including a spot on the Breath Of Life festival in Launceston supporting international heavyweights such as Parkway Drive, The Amity Affliction, The Getaway Plan, Skrillex and Fatboy Slim. Save The Clocktower are ready to make the leap to the big-time in the Australian Rock/Hardcore music scene and then hopefully pushing further to achieve a level of recognition internationally.
