KICKSTARTING YOUR CAREER WITH BREATH OF LIFE

Are you a budding musician?

An undiscovered songwriting talent?

Or perhaps your strengths and interests lie in overall event management?

Either way, if you’re considering a future career in any of the above mentioned exciting and challenging facets of the music industry, then you’ll want to be a part of the Breath Of Life Kickstart program.

A series of interactive and innovative industry related workshops will be run in conjunction with the 2012 Breath Of Life Music Festival in Tasmania.

Workshop 1: "My Music" - Songwriting / Recording / Performing."

Held in Launceston on Friday the 9th of March 2012.

Leading recording artists who will be performing at the Breath Of Life Music Festival will give an interesting & illuminating insight into their careers as professional musicians & share some of ideas on the do’s &don’t’s of songwriting , recording & performing.

This is an open session and free workshop with a limit on the amount of participants who can attend. Keep your eyes firmly planted on this website

Workshop 2: "Live Event & Production Management."

Students will be selected from Schools & Colleges throughout Tasmania via the 2011 Rock Challenge to participate in "Event & Production Management".

Students will learn the basics of running their own live music event via a series of Breath Of Life all ages concerts in the lead up to the festival which they will organise& administer under the mentorship of David Sykes, site manager for Breath of Life Music Festival as well as other leading industry service providers.

**These workshops will culminate with the program participants playing active professional roles in the Breath Of Life Music Festival itself.
